A Social Experience

Muffins and Mutts Walk

Twice a month I head up a community club event and get dogs and their humans together to walk and have a social experience with their dogs.

Every Month

The 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month we walk downtown to our local square.  Along the walk we enjoy Mother Nature at her finest.  We walk by parks, streams, businesses and to our local restaurants.  We meet at a pet friendly area and get coffee and muffins.  Our dogs get to hang out with their own species and learn how to be calm and enjoy each others company.

If you have a dog that displays reactive behaviors when you take a walk, consider getting help.

Don't just stop walking your dog, or turning around, or picking up your dog.

Your dog will not get better by avoiding these circumstances.  Help your dog by seeking out well behaved dogs to hang out with.  A nice pack walk gives your dog a great experience with other dogs.

Remember:

Dogs can have a positive social experience sitting near other calm, happy dogs.  They don't have to play with the dogs or be right beside them to benefit.  Just being near each other peacefully is a great leap towards their social rehabilitation.
